Calories In - Calories Out = Weight Loss : NYT

Weight loss comes down to a formula to live by, the total calories in, minus the total calories out. Consume less calories, and burn more. Its not as easy as it seems, but it starts by eliminating unhealthy foods which tend to have the most calories. The key is to eat healthy, track calories and once in a while treat yourself to a cheat food. Remember, what you eat is more important than fitness, so if your serious about reaching your health goals make sure to burn more calories than you consume, and mix that with exercise for true weight loss.* #makeithappen

Quote from New York Times article: "The goal is not radical change but a reduction in calories of 500 a day and/or an increase in physical activity to achieve a weekly deficit of 3,500 calories, the approximate amount in one pound of body fat."
